What You Will Be Doing
At Cvent, our paid summer technology internships are designed to provide students with real-world mentorship and experience.
This internship is for candidates who have a passion for User Experience and Product Design. You’ll partner with product managers, developers, researchers, UI designers, and writers to contribute to the design of human-centered products that meet market needs. You’ll be involved in each phase of the project, from early discovery and concept work through development.
What You Need for this Position
A desire to make contributions that will be used by current and future employees
Be a rising senior at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or similar field
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work alongside senior team members and managers to further your professional development
Most importantly, you must be passionate about technology and making people’s lives better using technology. An ideal candidate is expected to be up with the latest advancements in the industry, and have an insatiable thirst to learn how software works and how people use it.
Desired Expertise
Understanding of user experience design principles and process
2+ years experience in design related college courses, internships or work
Knowledge of design, presentation, and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch and InVision)
Knowledge of event industry is a plus (i.e. attended a conference)
Basic Qualifications
Graduation date of December 2020 or May 2021
Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Information Architecture or other related field
